Survey suggests attitudes around asking for a raise are changing
It seems the culture surrounding asking for pay raises and discussing pay with colleagues may be changing. According to FlexJob’s Work Insight 2022 survey, roughly 47% of employed workers asked for a raise last year and were successful and discussed their salary with a coworker. In 2018, BankRate found that less than 25% of workers were willing to talk pay with their coworkers.
