Amid the announcement that Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk will be taking a board seat at Twitter, many employees are panicking over the future of the company. Some workers worry that his seat on the board will weaken their “years-long efforts to make Twitter a place of healthy discourse and might allow trolling and mob attacks to flourish.” Twitter has affirmed that the board does not make policy decisions and has relatively no influence on their operations for moderating content. Several employees are also worried that Musk’s seat on the board will change their corporate culture. One employee said, “some people are dusting off their resumes, I don't want to work for somebody like Musk.”
