Starbucks files complaints against workers’ union
On Wednesday, Starbucks filed two complaints with the NLRB alleging that Workers United “unlawfully restrained and coerced partners in the exercise of their rights.” They claim that organizers physically intimidated workers against the union drive, yelled profanity at customers, and physically block store entrances and exits. Workers United said “the allegations are a continuation of Starbucks’ war against its own partners.” In a letter to employees, the president of Starbucks’ North American operations said the filings were made to protect their workers.
