NYC puts school employees on leave claiming they provided falsified proof of vaccination
Based on information obtained from law enforcement and the Special Commissioner of Investigation for the NYC School District, The NYC Department of Education has placed several school employees on unpaid leave. The department was alerted that some employees had provided false proof of vaccination against COVID-19. The leave will take effect on Monday and includes less than 100 employees. A lawyer for the United Federation of Teachers wrote to the department, “It is wholly improper for the D.O.E. to unilaterally remove U.F.T. members from the payroll based on mere conjecture that vaccination documentation is fraudulent.”
