Workers in Shanghai are living at work
Due to the Chinese government pursuing a zero-COVID strategy, Shanghai has been on lockdown for over six weeks. Workers at the Tesla factory in Shanghai have been working continuously with only one day off a week and sleeping on site. Prior to the lockdown employees worked three 24 hour shifts a week but under this closed loop system they are working 12 hour shifts six days a week. Reportedly workers are being provided with mattresses and sleeping bags as well as designated spaces for showering, dining, and entertainment.
