DOJ requests that federal workers receive leave to travel out of state for reproductive care
A group of employees from the DOJ Gender Equality Network have sent a request to the Biden Administration requesting that they require federal agencies to give time off to employees or may need to travel to obtain abortion services. This request comes as a growing number of companies are providing travel benefits to employees who live in states with restricted abortion access. The group estimates that there are approximately 667,000 government employees who either currently live in states where abortion access is curtailed or will be affected if Roe v. Wade is overturned.
