Recent trends show employees who "boomerang" back to a previous employer are seeing the largest wage gains
Given the strength of the current job market, employees have greater power to switch positions in search of better wages and benefits. New research by Visier indicates interesting trends amongst "boomerang employees," those who quit and then return to the same company, who are achieving higher pay raises and quicker promotions. However, these trends may also suggest a larger workplace issue regarding retention that needs to be addressed within the US labor market by HR professionals.
