Workers at Home Depot store in Philadelphia file with NLRB for unionization vote
Home Depot workers in Philadelphia filed a petition with the NLRB earlier this week to hold a unionization vote at their store's location. Employees reported feeling strained and understaffed in the wake of the pandemic, as well as dissatisfied with their pay and work conditions. If successful, they would become the company's first union. The unionization effort at Home Depot reflects the current revitalization of the labor movement as industrial actions at large corporations have increased in recent months.
