The positive impact of remote work options and tight labor market in creating new job opportunities for workers with disabilities
Since the start of the pandemic, the number of disabled adults working has dramatically increased due to the overhaul of hiring requirements amidst labor shortages and the greater availability of remote work options. Recent data reflects that disabled workers are experiencing better work condition and pay opportunities as well as a result of these shifts. However, the prevalence of remote work since Covid provides the potential to break this trend and maintain the gains that have been made for disability inclusion and opportunities in the workplace.
