Video game company Activision Blizzard to pay large settlement in SEC case regarding improper handling of employee complaints and whistleblower protection violations
Activision Blizzard, the company that makes the popular video game 'Call of Duty,' recently agreed to pay a multi-million dollar settlement in its case regarding SEC charges. The SEC had found that the company failed to properly collect and address employees' complaints of misconduct in the workplace. Furthermore, the company violated whistleblower protection rules by requiring workers to disclose if they had been contacted by the SEC. The settlement of these charges comes after Activision Blizzard recently settled another lawsuit regarding widespread sex discrimination.
