There is currently a shortage of workers in Asia with the tech skills necessary to fill all of the open tech roles. Despite global layoffs occuring within traditional tech companies, tech jobs are in high demand within nearly all other sectors of the Asian economy. For instance, tech jobs have been marked as a signficiant portion of the fastest growing job titles in Singapore in the past five years. Tech layoffs and the end of the pandemic may help to encourage more applicants to seek out these roles and skillsets.
