Post pandemic and Brexit, staffing shortages in the UK hospitality industry have led hotel and restaurant managers to seek more EU workers

Since Brexit took effect in 2020, job vacancies in the hospitality industry have grown significantly, while the number of EU workers in the industry has declined. Subsequently, many hotel and restaurant managers believe that improving immigration routes for foreign workers to come to Britain will solve this labor shortage. However, the staffing issues in the UK hospitality industry are likely due to a combination of factors, as the pandemic lockdowns affected restaurants and hotels' payrolls as well.
