New study empirically shows that a company's incorporation of AI in the workplace increased human workers' productivity
Recently, a study was done on the economic effects of AI, looking at how a company and its workers were affected by the immersion of ChatGPT into their work. The study has empirically found that AI made the workers more productive because they were able to accomplish more tasks in less time. The company in the study was an administrative software company that largely helped its customers with technical support, and after the adoption of the AI program, the company's customers reported higher satisfaction and gave higher staff ratings. However, the study notes how powerful AI can be and its disruptive potential with regards to income inequality.
