Union representing various rail firms in the UK state that workers will strike in July for 3 days
The RMT union stated that rail workers at 14 rail firms will strike on July 20, July 22, and July 29. Negotiations between the RMT union and the rail firms have not been successful, and previous strikes at rail firms have occurred. The union is seeking higher pay to match the rise in the cost of living, but rail firms have stated that these pay increases can only occur if the union concedes on various conditions. Rail workers have grown more frustrated with the RMT union, as all the offers have been voted down by the RMT executive board without being put out to workers.
