Most film productions have halted as the writers’ strike continues to impact Hollywood
The ongoing writers' strike in Hollywood has halted a majority of current media productions, and the release of future television shows and movies has been delayed. High-profile TV shows such as Stranger Things, Abbott Elementary, and The Last of Us have stopped the filming of their upcoming seasons. The SAG-AFTRA union has joined the movement alongside the Writers Guild of America, with actors and performers stating that they are willing to strike as well if demands are not met. The strikes will continue to affect the entertainment industry, and major upcoming Hollywood events will be negatively impacted, such as the Emmys and Comic-Con International. Los Angeles has also been affected by the strikes, and various industries that support film productions have lost revenue.
