Former members of the Amazon Labor union are suing the union over delayed elections
Previous members of the Amazon Labor Union in New York are suing the union over alleged violations of the union’s constitution. Members claim that the union made changes to the constitution without consulting its members. The adjustments state that internal union elections would occur after an agreement with Amazon is reached. This means that elections would occur much later than members expected because Amazon is currently fighting the union’s win and has not started to bargain with the union. The members are hoping that the court ruling will force union elections to occur before late August.
