Trucking company Yellow will file for bankruptcy due to financial challenges
The trucking company Yellow is expected to file for bankruptcy and liquidate the company’s assets in the coming days. Yellow was a leader in the transportation industry but the company experienced financial challenges and increasing debt in the past few years. Thousands of employees at Yellow around the country will be impacted by this decision, and around 30,000 workers will lose their jobs as the company ceases operations. The decision to file for bankruptcy came after Yellow narrowly avoided a worker strike earlier this month. Yellow workers represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters union planned to strike over issues with employee health benefits.
