HanesBrand layoffs will affect hundreds of workers in North Carolina
HanesBrand announced this past week that hundreds of corporate employees would be affected by layoffs in North Carolina. The company is moving various operations to international locations, reducing expenses by millions of dollars. The layoffs are a part of the company’s Full Potential Initiative, which focuses on improving supply chain management and channel distribution around the world. The initiative also places greater company focus on Champion and Hanes, its most notable apparel brands. HanesBrand made an earlier round of job cuts in January, where over 300 employees were laid off around the country. A majority of the HanesBrand workforce is now outside the United States.
