Hospitality employees in Las Vegas gather around T-Mobile Arena and the Strip to call for higher wages
T-Mobile Arena hospitality workers gathered around the stadium and on the Las Vegas strip as contract negotiations with Levy Premium Food Service drag on. The Culinary Workers Union which represents dishwashers, cooks, servers, bartenders, and other hospitality workers, has been in negotiations for a new contract for almost a year. Workers are calling for increased wages and improved benefits, with many workers stating that they want higher wages so they do not have to hold two jobs to support their families. The union also represents over 60,000 workers in the hospitality industry in Nevada, and thousands of these workers joined T-Mobile Arena employees in the rally.
