Negotiations between the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and SAG-AFTRA have stalled
Negotiations between Hollywood production studios and actors abruptly ended this past week, after studios claimed that the differences between the two parties were too large. Studios also claimed that the proposed offer to SAG-AFTRA is as good as the agreement reached between studios and WAG. The union stated that these claims are false, and they were mischaracterizing this proposed contract and using bullying tactics. SAG-AFTRA states that they have made concessions to the studios and have been working to meet in the middle, but studios have not been receptive to these changes. Negotiations between the two parties resumed in early October, and actors have been on strike since July.
