Amazon workers allege "scare tactics" against warehouse managers
Amazon workers at a warehouse in California have accused the online retail giant of utilizing illegal means to dissuade employees from voting to unionize. Employees applied to hold a union vote in 2022, but then cancelled the filing after heavy blowback from management. Workers at the Moreno Valley facility charge that Amazon held mandatory meetings in which anti-union misinformation was spread, along with an edict barring employees from discussing union-related topics on the warehouse floor. Amazon denies the charges, stating they look forward to being cleared in an administrative law hearing scheduled for August.
