A last-minute deal in Michigan will ease the impact of new wage and sick leave laws before they take effect. Gov. However, the state’s plan to raise the minimum wage to $15 by 2027 remains in place. The agreement is a relief for businesses but a setback for worker advocates pushing to end the tip credit. The changes follow a Michigan Supreme Court ruling that revived the laws after a lengthy legal battle.
