Labor unions protest federal workforce cuts at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston
More than 50 demonstrators gathered outside NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston to protest federal workforce cuts linked to the Department of Governmental Efficiency, led by Elon Musk. Union leaders and advocates spoke against the layoffs, calling for job security and fair pensions for NASA employees and other federal workers. U.S. Rep. Al Green joined the protest, criticizing the mass firings and highlighting a federal judge’s recent order to scrutinize the cuts. The demonstration ended with Green leading the crowd in singing “God Bless America.”
