Labor Board’s DOGE Detailees Connected to Agency Take Downs
Two operatives from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, have been assigned to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), raising concerns over their connections to efforts to dismantle federal agencies. Nate Cavanaugh and Justin Fox, both linked to previous attempts to gut agencies like the U.S. Institute of Peace and the National Endowment for the Humanities, will serve part-time and mostly remote roles. Their detail came just after NPR reported DOGE accessed sensitive NLRB case data and allegedly tried to cover it up. DOGE plays a key role in the Trump administration’s push to shrink government through layoffs and canceled contracts. Meanwhile, Musk’s companies Tesla and SpaceX are both engaged in legal battles with the NLRB.
