1, 300 Workers Strike at Bankrupt Ormet
Workers at Ormet Corp. went on strike Monday over concerns that the bankrupt company would not honor its labor agreements. The strike began at 7 a.m. on Monday and involved about 1,300 workers. Ormet is planning to have a hearing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to seek approval for its reorganization plan, which may involve rejecting or modifying labor contracts.
