1 in 4 working families is low income, study finds
The results of a recent study show a widening gap between low wage workers and high in demand educated skilled workers. Findings indicate that the income of 9.2 million families that include 20 million children, fall in the low income category of families who barely make ends meet. The report cites a challenging environment as minimum wage jobs are no longer able to keep families out of poverty and our economic structure's need for skilled, well educated workers.
