14 Workers Break Harvard Dining Services' Picket Lines
According to Sheila C. Thimba, Harvard College’s Dean for Administration and Finance, 14 of the university’s dining hall workers have returned to work. A worker who requested to remain anonymous explained his reasons for crossing the picket line on the second day of the strike, stating that the union has not clearly relayed the progress of the contract negotiations over the past 4 months. The worker also believes that the benefits and wages he and his co workers receive are competitive. He has been using the university’s underground tunnels to remain unseen as he returns to work each morning during the strike.
