17,000 AT&T workers across the Southeast strike over contract negotiations
Over 17,000 AT&T workers across nine Southeastern states have gone on strike, accusing the company of "unfair labor practices" during contract negotiations. The Communications Workers of America (CWA) claim that AT&T failed to negotiate in good faith, sending representatives without decision-making authority. The union has filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board. AT&T denies the allegations, stating it is committed to reaching a fair agreement and has implemented measures to prevent service disruptions. The strike includes technicians, customer service reps, and wire installation workers.
