2 Auto Parts Companies Go Outside the Old-Boy Culture
Two of the largest and struggling auto parts companies, Delphi and Visteon, are now being run by executives who have come from outside their former parent companies, General Motors and Ford. Some analysts see this as the first step for Delphi and Visteon to break with the old guard and become companies in their own right. They suggest that these new leaders may find it easier to be hard nosed with the former parent companies as they restructure and try to turn their losses into profits.
