200 flights cancelled, several delayed due to Toronto fuel strike
A labor dispute at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport caused more than 200 flight cancellations last Friday because of a recent announcement that an airline consortium will not renew an agreement with the fueling company Consolidated Aviation Fueling of Toronto, which will result in hundreds of fuel service employees losing their jobs. The workers protested by calling in sick, causing significant delays to the airport.
