With inflation at its highest level in nearly 40 years, many Americans are due for an increased wage. Starting January 1st, Americans in 25 states have seen a hike in their minimum wages. California has the highest statewide minimum wage at $15 an hour and Seattle is the highest city minimum wage at $17.27 an hour. Eight states have raised their minimum wage statewide based on reported cost of living increases.
