5 Tufts Students Go on Hunger Strike Over Janitor Layoffs
Tufts recently announced that at the end of May, the university will cut 35 janitorial jobs. Shortly after the announcement, families of the janitors and Tuft's students met outside the main administration building to begin a strike. Five students from the university will go on a hunger strike. The janitors' contracts have a clause that prevents them from striking.
