A group of 238 Costco workers based in Norfolk, Virginia have successfully voted to join the Teamsters union in an effort to obtain occupational improvements such as better wages, pension contributions, and bonuses. In response, Costco's former CEO Craig Jelinek and current CEO Ron Vachris released a statement on the union win on December 29th, commenting that they were "not disappointed in our employees; we're disappointed in ourselves as managers and leaders".
