7 Trends Shaping Africa's Youth Employment Challenge: What Do Social Entrepreneurs Bring To The Conversation?
The nonprofit organization Ashoka has published an initiative identifying employment trends shaping youth employment in Africa. The initiative highlighted the imminent necessity for African economies to regulate the thriving ?informal? sector of the economy and stressed the contrast between development in rural and urban areas, among other bulleted points. With projections from the U.N. estimating that 50 percent of the world?s youth population will be African in the year 2040, the employment outlook in Africa transcends the continent and commands global attention.
