700 workers lose their jobs after failing to comply with Mayo Clinic’s vaccine mandate
The Mayo Clinic has “released from employment” around 1% of their staff, or approximately 700 people. Workers at the Mayo Clinic had until January 3rd to receive their first does of a COVID-19 vaccine or receive a medical or religious exemption. The clinic has said that most of their employee’s exemption requests were granted and that fired workers are able to apply and return to Mayo Clinic if they choose to get vaccinated at a later date.
