730,000 Walmart Employees Won’t Be Getting $15 an Hour Pay
Walmart has joined a growing list of retailers boosting employees’ wages to $15 an hour. However, unlike rivals such as Target, Amazon, and Costco all of which now offer base pay of $15 an hour for all employees, the nation’s largest private employer will keep its starting wages at $11 an hour. This translate to 730,000 hourly workers receiving a pay raise to at least $15 an hour. However, about 730,000 workers will still be receiving less than $15 an hour.
