9/11 study: Multiple health woes persist for rescue workers
A study looking at the long-term health effects of rescue, recovery and clean-up efforts of 9/11 workers has found that they have hire risks for physical and mental illnesses. The study followed about 27,500 workers who worked at Ground Zero. The study found hire instances of asthma, sinusitis, depression and PTSD, and those with more exposure had greater risks of more than one.
