A coalition of hundreds of employers is asking the Trump administration to override the NLRB and dictate labor law
A group of major employers, known as the Coalition for Workplace Democracy, is urging the Trump administration to bypass normal legal channels and nullify recent labor board rulings made during the Biden era. These rulings, which clarify workers’ rights to unionize and challenge unfair firings, are supposed to be settled through court appeals or formal Board review—not erased by political figures. The coalition wants Attorney General Pam Bondi to overrule the NLRB, even though she has no legal authority in this area. Critics argue this move would destabilize labor law and make it subject to political whims, undermining fairness for both workers and employers. While employers pushing this believe they are protecting their interests, labor advocates see it as an unlawful power grab that could dismantle decades of precedent and leave the workplace in chaos.
