A commercial real estate expert believes that office employment will see a full recovery
The CEO of commercial real estate brokerage firm Cushman & Wakefield says that the office market is overcoming significant COVID-19 related disruption and he expects a full recovery. In April and May of last year 2.9 million office jobs were lost but 2.2 million of those jobs have been recovered already. The CEO, Brett White, said that office building tours are the leading indicator of future leasing revenue, and they are up by 80%. White says, “companies are thinking about space very differently,” just as Cushman & Wakefield is doing after announcing their $150 million partnership with office sharing firm WeWork.
