A Factory in Finland Is Mastering Challenge of the Ages
A nationwide experiment in increasing the retirement age by providing incentives for older workers to remain employed has worked wonders for Finland's aging population and could be mirrored in other societies. In one lockmaking factory, older workers have been dubbed "age masters" and get free use of a fitness club and seminars on topics such as managing stress and heart-friendly nutrition. The goal is to slow down a rapidly retiring population by giving older workers more flexibility and input into their needs.
