A Final Proposal, With Hopes of a Vote
Stating the league have "nothing left to negotiate about", NBA commissioner David Stern and team owners revised their proposal from earlier this week and left the future of this season in the hands of the players. Although, clearly not thrilled with the terms, union officials will present the new proposal to players early next week, when they will decide to accept or reject it. If approved, the NBA season would begin December 15 with a shortened 72 game schedule.
