A new paid sick leave policy is in the works
New legislation moving through Congress would give workers paid family and sick leave. The exact details of this plan still could change but tentatively it would give workers who have earned some wages in the last six months 12 weeks of paid family and sick leave. This policy would likely be administered by U.S. Treasury Department or the Social Security Administration. The worker would get 2/3 of their wages replaced for up to 12 weeks each year with a cap of $4000 a month.
