Workers were informed of the company-wide store closures via Slack last week, and numerous employees have expressed that the announcement came as a shock. Workers also state that Outdoor Voices will not offer severance pay to employees. The company has faced various issues in recent years, and the valuation of Outdoor Voices decreased from $110 million in 2018 to $40 million in 2020. In the following years, numerous senior executives left the company, and there were alleged tensions between senior executives.
