Activewear company Outdoor Voices abruptly shuts down all retail stores
Outdoor Voices, an activewear company that gained popularity in recent years, has announced that the company will be closing all retail stores, and will move to a fully online business model. Workers were informed of the company-wide store closures via Slack last week, and numerous employees have expressed that the announcement came as a shock. Workers also state that Outdoor Voices will not offer severance pay to employees. The company has faced various issues in recent years, and the valuation of Outdoor Voices decreased from $110 million in 2018 to $40 million in 2020. In the following years, numerous senior executives left the company, and there were alleged tensions between senior executives.
