Actors union ratifies deal with Hollywood studios
One union representing Hollywood actors has agreed to ratify a new labor deal, while the other union remains prepared to turn down the final offer of the studios. AFTRA, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, has announced that its members have accepted a new three-year deal, which will be put into effect retroactive to July 1. However, the Screen Actors Guild, the larger of the two unions, has yet to agree to a deal and maintains that its own negotiations will continue.
