Actors yell cut on proposed tax on expensive health insurance plans
The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, an affiliate of the AFL-CIO, is joining that union and others in protesting the Obama administration's support of a tax on expensive health care coverage. The unions claim such taxes would unduly penalize workers who have used negotiations to pursue better health coverage instead of higher wages. Despite these concerns, the union's sentiments were still couched in terms of support for the administration's overall efforts towards health care reform.
