Before the pandemic, research found that 1 in 4 American workers dread going to work. Workplace toxicity increases employees' feeling of dread. Additionally, a toxic work environment not only impacts employee wellbeing,but it also impacts' a companies' bottom line. Research also found that U.S. companies lost $223 billion over a five-period due to culture-caused turnover. As the workplace has shifted to the virtual world, companies need to be aware of the various ways that workplace toxicity is changing.
