ADP Says U.S. Firms Hired 192,000 Workers, More Than Forecast
According to a new report from ADP, the economy added 192,000 jobs in January. The number is higher than economists predicted, an average of 165,000. Experts say that construction work is offsetting slow growth in manufacturing, and that companies are hiring despite concerns about Washington D.C. The Labor Department jobs report for January will be released later this week.
