Aerospace equipment company announces temporary week-long shutdown due to decline in demand
Absolute Technologies, a manufacturer of aerospace parts and equipment, will temporarily shut down a production facility in Anaheim, California from December 23 to December 27. The company produces flight control pistons, thrust reverse cylinders, landing gears, and load transfer components and assemblies. The company stated that demand for its products has recently decreased, largely due to strike action at two major aerospace companies, Boeing and Textron. The facility employs 267 workers, who will all be temporarily laid off during the week-long shutdown. Absolute Technologies filed a WARN notice with California’s Employment Development Department regarding the temporary job cuts.
