Aetna Gives Lowest-Wage Employees a Raise as Economy Improves
In April Aetna plans to raise the minimum wage for 5,700 of its employees up to $16 an hour. The company experienced a 1.7% earnings increase in 2014. This has also led the company to absorb more health costs for as many as 7,000 of its employees. The company hopes to attract more employees in a tighter job market.
