After Plant Explosion, Texas Remains Wary of Regulation
Despite the recent explosion at a fertilizer plant in West, Texas, many in the state do not see the need for increased regulation. Texas has the highest number of workplace fatalities in the United States annually, averaging more than 400 a year. While many are calling for increased regulation, others say that they do not see the need for more government oversight. Fourteen people died in the West factory explosion.
